Consett Park Bowling Club

COMPETITIONS FOR 1941 SEASON

Consett Park Bowling Club, which has a membership of over 200, have arranged an attractive competition programme for this season.

The club competitions include:

Club Championship.

Single Handed. 21 shots, No entrance fee. Winner holds President's Trophy for year also receives a replica and a first prize value of £2, 2nd prize value £1, 3rd and 4th prizes value 10/-

Club Pairs Competition.

15 ends. Final 21 ends. Entrance Fee 1/- each player. Winning Pair hold vice Presidents’ Trophy for year and receive prize valued two thirds of entrance fees, 2nd Prize value one third of entrance fees. Competitors will be classified i.e. Leads and Skips before the Draw is made.

Club Rink Competition

15 ends. Final 21 ends. Entrance fee 1/- each player. Members are allowed to form their own Rinks. Members who wish to join the Competition and have not been able to form a Rink may do so when an effort will be made to place them: Winning Rink holds Chairman's Trophy for one year and each player receives a Prize value of 10/-, runners up 7/6 each.

Nursing Cup Competition.

“Two Wood" Competition. Entrance Fee 1/- each player. 15 shots Final 21 shots.

Dixon Memorial Cup.

“Triplets Competition. Entrance Fee 6d. each player. Winners to hold the Cup for one year. Value of Prize to be decided after entrance fees have been made.

County Championships.

Entrance Fees, Singles 1/-, Pairs 2/-, Rink 4/-.

N. W. Durham League Championship.

Entrance Fees, Singles 1/-, Pairs 2/-, Rink 4/-.

Jumbles Competition.

No entrance fees. 1st prize value £1, 2nd Prize 17/6, 3rd Prize value 15/-, 4th prize valued at 12/6, 5th prize value 10/- To qualify members must play 25 games.

Spoons’ Competition

Owing to the extra cost of spoons it has been decided that 3d. per player be charged at each Competition.

The closing dates for the various competitions are:

North West Durham, Friday 16th May;

County Competition, Friday 23rd May;

Club Competitions, Saturday May 17.
