On 2nd May 1941 the Blaydon Courier reported on the Club's Annual Meeting.
The traditional match between the teams selected by the chairman and president was played, but the matches against Darlington South Park were canceled owing to war conditions.
Unfortunately, some small parts of the report are unreadable.

Annual Meeting
Despite the cold weather, an enthusiastic number of Bowlers gathered at the Consett Park Bowling Greens last Saturday when the 1941 season was inaugurated.
The opening ceremony was performed by the President of the Club, Sir Edward J. George who was accompanied by the Chairman Mr Ralph Alsop and other officials of The Consett Iron Co. Ltd.
The Annual Match between the President's and Chairman’s sides followed and an enjoyable game was played.
After the game the Annual Meeting of The Consett Park Bowling Club was held over which Sir Edward J. George presided and he was supported by Mr. Ralph Alsop.
The Hon. Secretary J. W. Lake presented the Annual Report and Financial statement and both were adopted as very satisfactory.
Following the election of the Officials and Committee a hearty vote of thanks to the Chairman concluded a very successful meeting.

The eighteenth annual meeting of the Consett Park Bowling Club was held on Saturday, Sir Edward George presiding.
The secretary (Mr. J. W. Lake) in his report stated that membership has been maintained and during the season applications for membership have been received and accepted.
Mr. Lake said “The Greens during the season were satisfactory and we are grateful to the Consett Iron Company and also to our President Sir Edward J. George, our Chairman, Mr. Ralph Alsop and Mr. Henderson for their interest in the well-being of the Club. We were able to complete all our League fixtures.
For the second year in succession the Club reached the final of the North-West Durham Bowling League and was successful in winning the Championship by defeating Allendale on the Hamsterley Colliery Welfare Green.
We also reached the Semi-final of the “Shimeld Bowl" Competition.
It was with regret we had to cancel our matches with Darlington South Park owing to war conditions.
Our Chairman, Mr. Ralph Alsop was again unanimously elected President of the North West Durham Bowling League, and we offer to him our very best wishes. Mr. Alsop is also a member of the E.B.A. Council.
It is worthy of note the Club was represented in the Singles, Pairs and Rink in the 1st Round proper of the County Competitions. Mr. P. H Downie reached the Semi-Final in the Single Competition, Messrs. P. Higgins and H. Nash in the Sem!-Final of the Pairs Competition.
Mr. J. Burns reached the Semi-Final of the North West Durham Single Competition.
The Club held its Annual Social…{unreadable}… enjoyed a very happy evening.
{unreadable} have gratefully accepted the offer of a Cup from Mr W R Dixon to be called the “Dixon Memorial Cup and it has been agreed to run a Triplets Competition for this {unreadable} trophy. We thank Mr Dixon for this generous gift.
The Management Committee held 22 meetings and the attendances were as follows Mr. J Barrow, 5; Mr. R Clough 13, Mr. W Charton 16, Mr. T R Dent 20, Mr. W. Dixon 18, Mr H P Hornsby 17, Mr S A Simon 6, Mr E Tindle 18.
It is with regret we have to record the deaths of several valued and respected members of the Club viz: G. Batey, E. Carlille, G. B. Currie, W. Mason, W. J. Robson, G. Swales, T. Strachan, C. F. Tate and W. Walker. We have extended to the bereaved families our deepest sympathy.
May we again express our best thanks to all the members for their co-operation and we hope the same loyalty and fellowship will continue especially in these difficult and anxious days.
The treasurer's report showed a balance in hand of £13-7-2.
