At the conclusion of the game, the League Hon. Secretary, Mr. James W. Lake, expressed the best thanks of the League Committee to the officials of Hamsterley who had so kindly placed their green at the disposal of the two clubs.
He also expressed thanks for the very kindly manner in which the ladies of the Hamsterley Club had looked after the want of both teams at the tea table, and his remarks were ably seconded by Mr Fred Tate, on behalf of Allendale and carried with loud acclamation.
