CONSETT PARK CLUB
Mr. D. B. Scott well merited the hearty congratulations of his colleagues when he succeeded for the first time in his bowling career in winning the Consett Park 4 woods championship.
The final between Mr. Scott and Mr M Oliver proved a very interesting and enjoyable game throughout, the final score being; D. B. Scott 21, M. Oliver 16.
Two Wood Championship.
Mr. Wm. Gowiand carried off the above championship when he met and defeated Mr A Bainbridge by 12 shots.

Consett Park and Crookhall Welfare had a Spoons Competition last Saturday when forty-eight players took part. Each club provided a set of spoons and the games proved very keen throughout. Following the game the players sat down to tea in the Club Pavillon over which Mr J Barrow presided.
Mr Barrow congratulated both clubs for providing such an enjoyable afternoon's sport and also graciously presented the spoons to the following rinks, whose scores were 22 shots against 14 shots and 26 shots against 17 shots.

The Consett Park Club have lost through death, one of its original and most enthusiastic players in the person of Mr. William Mason.
Mr. Barrow paid eloquent testimony to the sterling character of Mr. Mason and said “he always played the game in the true bowlers spirit.”
As a tribute to their late colleague's memory the members stood in silence for a minute.
