BOWLS HONOUR
Mr. Bill Vince, Stores Control, who has been closely connected with Consett Park Bowling Club, has played for the Durham County bowls team and has again been honoured.
Now a member of the Durham County Executive Committee and a county team selector, he was invited to play for a joint Northumberland and Durham County bowls team against the touring American Lawn Bowls Association at Darlington on June 19th, 1967.
The match was part of the Darlington centenary celebrations and a civic reception and lunch was given to both teams by the Darlington civic authorities.
